چکیده
Abstract. This work presents an accurate and efficient numerical tool for geometrically nonlinear thermoelastic analyses of thin-walled structures. The structure is discretized by isogeometric solid-shell model avoiding the parameterization finite rotations. An modeling thermal strains, temperature-dependent materials general temperature profiles proposed. Then, a generalized path-following method developed solving discrete equations with amplifier as additional unknown. Finally, reduction technique based on Koiter theory derived quick estimate buckling.

On the Geometrically Nonlinear Analysis of Composite Axisymmetric Shells
Composite axisymmetric shells have numerous applications; many researchers have taken advantage of the general shell element or the semi-analytical formulation to analyze these structures. The present study is devoted to the nonlinear analysis of composite axisymmetric shells by using a 1D three nodded axisymmetric shell element. Both low and higher-order shear deformations are included in the ...

15 صفحه اولApproximate Incremental Dynamic Analysis Using Reduction of Ground Motion Records
Incremental dynamic analysis (IDA) requires the analysis of the non-linear response history of a structure for an ensemble of ground motions, each scaled to multiple levels of intensity and selected to cover the entire range of structural response. Recognizing that IDA of practical structures is computationally demanding, an approximate procedure based on the reduction of the number of ground m...
متن کاملEigenvalue solution of thermoelastic instability problems using Fourier reduction
A nite-element method is developed for determining the critical sliding speed for thermoelastic instability of an axisymmetric clutch or brake. Linear perturbations on the constant-speed solution are sought that vary sinusoidally in the circumferential direction and grow exponentially in time. These factors cancel in the governing thermoelastic and heat-conduction equations, leading to a line...
متن کاملAn Intrinsic Model for Thermoelastic Thin Shells
In view of the control of the thermoelastic thin shells, we consider the problem of modeling a dynamic thin shell with thermal effects, using the coordinate-free intrinsic model introduced by Michel Delfour and Jean-Paul Zolésio (5; 4). The aim of this method is to produce a coordinate free version of the shell equations, in contrast to the classical equations which require explicit representat...
